Synyer & Beddoes (Harry Synyer & Charles Joseph Beddoes). 8cm long, 6 cm wide and 2.5 cm deep.Super condition, considering its 120 years, excellent quality Birmingham silver tobacco box, gold gilt interior complete, hallmarked silver for the last year of Victoria's reign 1900. This silver box has a card cut lip with an oval lid, the hinge is in excellent condition and works perfectly.
Fully hallmarked to the base, although they are a little rubbed, it also bears some small bruises and some scuffs to the edge, however, there are not too many of these silver gilt boxes around, especially with the gilt interior intact and in such good condition. We can assume this tobacco box was for Sunday best only, and a cherished item of its original owner, at the start of the last century.
