Sconces Pair Gill Glass Victorian Excellent Original Finishes & Shades Rewired
A matching pair of antique Art Deco wall sconces made by the Gill Glass & Fixture Company in the 1920`s era. The pair is from a line of Gill lighting fixtures they called their "Victorian" Line. The sconces retain their original gold and poly chrome color finishes and have nor been retouched or refinished. Each has its original working rotary on and off canopy switch. The original wiring had badly deteriorated and was replaced for safety reasons.
The original porcelain sockets were retained after cleaning and rewiring. This pair of "Victorian" sconces has light red poly chrome accents and has matching original finials and frosted glass shades.
The shades have several spots of light edge roughness, but no noticeable chips or damage that detracts from their beauty. Each sconce measures 11 inches in length x 5 inches in width (5 1/2 with a shade installed). A new threaded mounting rod and end cap was installed in each for attaching to a wall. Other matching sconces and chandeliers will be offered as they are completed.
