A splendid large George III sterling silver Three Piece Tea Set. The Set comprises a Teapot, a Sugar basin and a Milk Jug.
The Set weighs a substantial 1205 grams or approx. The Teapot measures 12 or 30cm from handle to spout. The Sugar Bowl is 9 or 22cm across the twin handles.
The Milk Jug stands 4 or 10cm tall. The boat shape Set is has half fluted decoration and gadrooned rims. The Teapot has a concealed hinge Lid and ebony handle and finial.
The Sugar Bowl is twin handled and with a gilded interior. The Milk Jug Has a wide lip. Hallmarked for London 1811 (Teapot) and 1812 (Sugar bowl and Milk Jug).
Maker's mark of Thomas Hayter. All in remarkably good and undamaged condition. All pieces free from bumps and bruises.
The Teapot handle is firm and the pins are in place. The hinge is good and the lid closes precisely. The Sugar Bowl has a bright gilded interior although this has faded in the milk Jug.A pieces stand level without wobble. An excellent Set of high quality Georgian silverware.
