C1840 Excellent American Federal Sully Gilded Silhouette Miniature Folk Frame

  
This is a great c1840 little American Sully miniature frame. Excellent original, soft gilded surface on canted molding with a flat top edge. Square nailed, mitered corners, ochre painted sides, wavy glass and shingle backboard. Frame is in excellent condition with only minor wear and measures 7 3/4 x 8 1/4 with a 4 3/4 x 5 1/4 rabbet.
