This pickle jar is in excellent condition with no chips, nicks or cracks. It is a gorgeous piece of 140 year old glass with 3 different raised oval scenes encircling the jar.
Tufts #2361 signed on the base is a fancy patterned silverplate caster, itself is in extremely fine condition, the plating is beautiful, bright and shiny. The base has detailed scroll work part of which shows clusters of pickles above each leg not to mention the detailed finial. This set comes with a lovely lid also in excellent condition, no bends or dings, fits perfectly on the jar and the plating is also bright and shiny. There is a pair of lovely tongs which are very nice and hang straight as well. Measurements are a shade under 12 inches high on the frame itself and the jar is a little over 4 1/2 inches high with out lid. This jar is quite heavy. Please excuse my crooked pictures, everything stands straight and tall.
